About this facility:
Womancare of Southfield is owned by Dr. Alberto Hodari. Hodari was fined $10,000 for the clinic's negligence in the death of Regina Johnson after a first-trimester abortion in 2003.

Syndra Feetham sued Womancare of Southfield, along with its abortion doctors, for medical malpractice. Feetham visited the clinic for a late-term abortion at 19 weeks gestation, when she learned that her fetus had Down Syndrome. According to the lawsuit, although the fetus was killed and most of the body parts were successfully removed, the fetus' head remained in Feetham's uterus. Feetham experienced 'extensive bleeding and injuries,' which required an emergency hysterectomy and the removal of one ovary; she is no longer able to have children.
